I prefer the square tub models with the hinged lid.

Nice!

My E2LP and I think yours is fantastic! We also want to see some video of it in action like the ones I shot of mine. I'm curious about capacity and wash action on the round tub vs. square tub...

Yours does have a different sound to it. Quieter almost. I didn't have a huge load of towels in mine when I shot video. I've encountered a few wringer owners who try to argue which was better: square vs. round tub. Not having had a chance to use both, I can't say...

I am not sure either. I did have a E2LPS in blue but sold it. If I only had all the washers that I have had since I was a kid I would have a good collection.

I have used both a 1982 square tub Maytag, and a 1950 round tub Speed Queen, and both have given excellent results. There really is no difference IMO.

My Mom, Grandmother and I ran into one just like that YEARS ago at a dump in North Fork when we were dumping off some trash for my Grandma. The guy who worked there told us all it needed was a new plug on the power cord and it was good to go. We seriously concidered buying it for my Grandma but we didn't. I think all he was asking for was $50. And it was in great shape too. I to this day regret not taking it.
