Didn't someone in this group post pics of a light they added to a vintage impeller DW?

I got nervous about that.

Come out and say "HI!" LOL

Don't want him attempting to get a Darwin Award. LOL

(This is a MUST see, in case you have not come across it in another thread.)

Surf the web and find it, pls. It is sad but HILARIOUS!

Xenon arc?

Judging from the whiteness and brightness of the lights shown in the picture and the "do not attempt to replace the bulbs" admonishment in the user's manual, I wonder if those lights use miniaturized xenon arc lamps like those in luxury car headlights (and baby cousins to the lamps used in 35mm theatrical movie projectors)?

If so, that would be just too wild...that's a DW that just screams for a window door with lighting like that.

HA!

lighting AND a window in a DW.?.

Do you know how many pair of shorts we'd have to wash collectively?

Not to worry Steve, in lighting my Apex dishwasher I used a water/weather proof light socket, water proof wiring, pcv pipe to protect the wiring, a tuff-coated light bulb and thoroughly grounded the dishwasher.

The water proof socket (which you can get a Home Depot) was the exact same socket that came with my 1956 clear Frigidaire Dishwasher Display door and interior light.

Robert:

*WHEW* OK, I am relieved.

May I suggest a GFI on the Apex?

.....just in case the bulb decides to split open one day!
