Thank you for your answers, I seen some comments wanting me to elaborate so I started tinkering with the washer. I put the washer through a whole cycle to see what exactly was and wasn't working. Everything seemed to work fine as far as filling up, draining and agitating, but when the washer went to rinse, it started making a loud sound, and I got a wiff of burnt rubber. I lifted the washer up, and what I think is happening is the washer belt spins fine in one direction, but will not spin in the other( I read that the two belt washers spin one way for agitation, and reverse for spinning). As the washer went through it's cycles I had the front panel off and could see with a flashlight that the belt was always spinning the same way regardless of what cycle it was on, and it only made the noise when it went to rinse cycle and spin dry. So I don't know if the motor is bad, as I heard that it can burn out in a certain direction, or if the belts just arn't tight enough. The bigger belt that goes from the moter to the bigger pully under the drum is brand new, and the other is a little frayed but looks fine so any help would be great, I really want to keep this washer, and just let me know if you need any more information, thanks in advance!
