I found this while surfing through Youtube. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. Very interesting to say the least. Perhaps our Italian friends could comment on this?

Sure looks like one!

It really is funny how we find these designs being produced throughout the world under different names and based on similar technologies as we have here and vice versa.

Starting with the classic KD15 door handle and then the 4 way hydrosweep arm! Did you see how big the holes are in that arm! And then that upper rack tower attached to the lower hydrosweep.Bet that pump really kicked some water aropund that tank!
Reminds me of the Waste King Big H arm, especially with the split lower rack!

Hobart produced Kitchenaids all over the world and we have also seen some of the older Insinkerator adaptations on here from time to time. The European models even had many of the same exact parts as the machines made here but of course adapted to their voltages. We also used some of their technology and still do to produce commercial units here.
The WM5 series was based on the K/A European series but wi th the single rack for this market. The LX series started out as a Euro design at one point and tweaked for this market.

If you check the current ZOppas offerings, they are nearly identical to the Indesits and show their current Whirlpool heritage.

The world is truly getting smaller and smaller!

I noticed no stainless steel filter. Also, here in the US, KitchenAid made quite the to-do over their 100% fully usable lower rack with no notches cut out and their single level wash system. In fact, they called the overhead spray "constant rinse" so it woudn't sound like another wash level. But here in 1976 came the new multi level wash system with middle wash arm and the now called overhead wash-rinse.

The bottom rack is very interesting with the removable plate inserts. I wonder what was the funnel looking piece in the top rack is. I looks like it was hardly used.

This is not a Kitchenaid

Hobart would never issue this crap to any country!
Steve....Get in touch with your buddies at Hobart to see if this is possible. I could never see Hobart agree to this crap. The "mid wash dildo thing" or whatever it was looked like it could fly off at any point and hurt something.
Nothing on this dishwasher says Hobart but the outside Handle. That is the only resemblance to me!
All of the European Hobart machines that were over built, under any name and had a stainless steel interior. The wash arms were always under the specs of the USA design.
This looks like some kind of want to be mutant.

Finally, a pre-KD18 I could like. Load it as I like. That tower reminds me more of a Frigidaire than anything else.

It looks like a KitchenAid to me----

The main spray arm,the handle, the detergent dispenser, the door design, timer motor advancement, and the porcelain interior give it away. The racks are kind of narly but the european dishwashers have had some visible differences from American dishwashers for decades inclding salt used diring each cycle.

It's like KitchenAid-Frigidaire-Thermador. Funky! I bet if that had a 17-series mechanism, that tower would blast the chrome off a bumper.

Actually, that hybrid mechanism would be a nice way to combine the butt-kicking wash action of the 17 with a little bit of flexibility for the top rack. Of course, losing all that space to the tower cutout would be a bummer, but given the number of people on this site who pack a Potscrubber until it screams, there's probably a way to BobLoad it :-)

Now that is cool. Imagine the sound that makes with water spraying in a fan-shape around the top of the machine!

Huh! The machine is a mutt, of sorts. Love how the birds are chirping in Italian...

Wow, you get bonus points for that one, mrcleanjeans! And a couple more for your screen name, too. I start humming the Captain Kangaroo theme song whenever I see it.
