Re: Messge:

"The Wheather is here, Wish You were Beautiful...

I sure wish I could have come to the Convention, it looks like there was quite a large group attending. Would like to know how many actually were able to attend.

It is great seeing the Group at the Restaurant and around the Macines. I hope that everyone found their Favorite Machines to check out and enjoyed the Sights and Sounds of these wonderful Vintage Machines Noises, that they made, compared to the new ones.

Everyone have a Safe Travel back Home.

Peace, Friendship Luv and Hug's to everyone, Steve

Convention '05=WOOHOO!!!

We're baaaaack!! And was it FUN? You bet!! Seeing Greg's awesome house and fab retro basement (and especially late Friday night being the only one down there for a short time) was amazing! Even more fun was loading, running, and watching all of the machines, some of which no one has ever seen before, in action, and of course taking your "complementary agitator" (I of course grabbed the Westinghouse spiral duo) Saturday night! Topping it off was meeting everyone, as well as sharing great stories and "tech-talk"!! YAY!

Greg and Terry--both of you were most excellent hosts, and I can't thank you enough for the great time in Omaha (as well as the great repair literature I came back with)!! Believe me, all of your hard work definitely paid off in these last 3 days--the Convention was well worth the trip!

Will post more details later...as there are MANY more!

Thank You For A Wonderful Time

Thank you Greg, Terry, and everyone who made the convention a success. I had so much fun seeing machines that I have not seen since I was a kid. All I can say is thank you.

I had a wonderful time! Everything was just great, and Greg was a fantastic host.It was awesome to be able to meet everyone in person, even though we all know each other fairly well. We are a community really.Only we are spread out over the globe. The time went SO fast! We will be talking about this convention for years to come. (as soon as we rest up that is) LOL!

A BIG thanks to Greg,Terry, and everyone else involved with the planning!

From the bottom of my heart...THANK YOU SO MUCH GREG AND TERRY! You are the best of the best!

I will now drift off to images of Kelvinators, Norges, and Frigidaires...zzzzzzzzzzz

Darn, it has come and gone already!!! Sensor overload with all those great awshers, dishwashers, combos, and a dryer or two. What would life be without a Frigidaire, Kelvinator, and a combo!! or 3. And lets not forget a "Vanilla" Norge LOL. Yep, I"m finally back home!! although I'd rather be asleep in the basement (with the ac) and just slumbering iwth the smell of detergent, lint, and everything else in a laundry room extroidinaire! Greg, Terry, Robert, Jon Charles, and any & everyone who had such substantial behind the scenes and outfront involvement--THANK YOU!!!!! I"m exhausted, but can't wat until we do it again!!!!!

I just want to say what an amazing time I had, it was so great to get to meet everyone and you all felt like friends from the moment we arrived!

The machines were cool but the comraderie was great! I make no pretenses about hiding my washer interest, but it was so much more fun to be with people who weren't giving you the third degree for once. Isn't that what it's about?!

Cory
-Greg, thanks for the RR!

The reality is this: washing machines are wonderful, but the group is fantastic. I really enjoyed the time spent in Omaha, and the people I got to meet, and all the things I learned (ie that Kelvinators are really splashy!) The trip will be put in the books as a life changing event. Like Cory said, it was great to be around a crowd who understands. Thanks for the times everyone ~

...yea really... thanks to all who assisted to make this a smoothly run well-planned tick-tock Swiss-watch reality.

You know that I will now have to go back and re-read every last positing since I now have a face and a personality behind the screen name.

P.S. Nebraska is south of South Dakota and west of Iowa. (yes, this IS a revelation to me,, LOL LOL LOL ) How cool was it to see a part of the country I may never have otherwise gotten to.

and all those agitators..... PRICELESS.

Out of curiosity, which agitator did you take home?

I'm so shredded!

But OH, I had so much fun. The time we had together was too short! I feel bad that I didn't get to sit and talk with everyone. There just wasn't enough time.

When I got back I babbled to Dennis about every little detail and finally went to bed at 6:30 (that 1:30am Omaha time).

I have much more to say but have a shop to attend to so will post some more later.

Aloha nui loa to each and every one!
David

Took none home. Saw a few close-up that I had not seen before.

Recognized many immediately. But I'm afraid many in the club are way more knowledgable.

(-SHHHH the gifts are a secret.)

Hi to all. Jon thanks so much for the great pictures! I want to thank everyone for all the kind words! All I can say is that I was the lucky one in that Greg let me help him with this. It was a labor of LOVE! Since I don't have a collection to share this was a chance for me to return just a small amount of the joy that this group has brought to me. I am so glad that you all had a great time. This weekend is really a let down after all the fun we had just a week ago. It was so good to see so many old friends again and to meet so many new ones as well. As I always say we must remember just how lucky we are that we have found each other and no longer feel like we are "the only ones" !! We are truly blessed! and we have Robert to thank for bringing us all together. Have a safe and Happy 4th of July weekend everyone! Hugs to all, Terry
