Hello again! I decided to make a thread about sudslocks. Post photos of your machine sudslocking or sudsy washes or rinses. I will try to post as many as possible. Thanks! |

I dont even know what sudslock is? Never heard anyone mention it in the UK in relation to front loaders, supprising as I spend all day talking to the general public about appliances. |

It seems to be a term used quite widely on here - though id never heard of it till i joined the forums. I try not to use the term often coz it just sounds abit daft to me. |

Excess suds going down the glass - i.e. you've used too much washing powder. Probably an American term, and yes I'd never heard of it before I'd joined the forum. Tom. |

I think Jo public will only ever know the effect if they are ever near there machines when it happens, but dont associate the terminology!!! Its the oner thing that all detergent manufacturers are plagued with on the Customer Support Helplines at the moment!!! If you`ve ever used a twinny you will soon associate the powders that "Sudz Lock"...lol..."Daz or Persil Handwash...Rinse Forever Formula" ...Lol |

Hi Bertrum, I think you are probably right about the term and toploaders, but anyone using "Handwash & twintub Powder" in the UK is more than familiar with it....its the point when the spinner starts losing its speed and you get a rather muted sound, no water out the pipe and the "Mr whippy" up the spin can sides!!! Persil & Daz Handwash & are the worst....heres a "SudzCake before the Suszlock" |

I think Hoover mentions it in their 'Product Service Data Books', in relation to the Hoover 'New Wave' and the minimal drum-tub gap. |
