To me it is clearly a D&M.

Weren't other Gibson prioducts a part of the White Consolidated Indutries / Westinghouse family of engineering?

D&M bagded them under Gibson, O'Keefe & Merrit, and Tappan. That one is up the street from me.

Yup, it's D&M. Reminds me of very similar Tappan from the early to mid-1980s. If memory serves me right, all that "stuff" to the right of the timer dial are status indicator lights for different phases of the cycle. It also reminds me of what the very first non-rotorack Kenmores looked like with that timer dial, which was 1975 or 1976. also not sure if this has a rising tower with full-size spray arm on the top (think imitation Maytag--or Nate's old Magic Chef) or if it's the more std. configuration with spray arm underr top rack.

It looks a lot like the Admiral dishwasher my mom had.
I believe the cycles were rinse and hold, pots and pans, double wash, double wash with sani, short sani wash, china and crystal. You had to match the letter a, b or c on the dial to the letter on the button.
The lights on hers were,wash/rinse hold, rinse, rinse, wash, rinse, sani delay, rinse and dry. It had two level wash and had a tube running up the back to the second spray arm.
