Good evening!

Does anyone know if the Maytag Helical Drive washer repair manual is still available new? I noticed that the Ebay seller of the very expensive and infamous pink Maytag set in thread 27524 is including what looks like a brand new copy of that manual and the Halo of Heat dryer manual that he said he got from Maytag. The part number of the washer manual appears to be 056129 (the dryer manual is 056132 in case anyone else needs that information.)

I have looked on the Internet but cannot find any vendors that list this manual/part number and just wanted to see if anyoned else had purchased one lately. Ebay and Amazon have come up blank as well. I ordered another out of print Maytag repair manual on Amazon that is supposed to be good but it would be nice to get the actual Maytag-published manual.

If you are looking for purely just a great service manual and don't need specifics on the Maytag model - look no further. Don't pay their BIN price, as the starting price is what the book is worth.

I just noticed a Maytag Service manual on ebay today. It says it's from 1957 and it's for Highlander Automatic washers. Type in "Maytag washer service manual" in the search box and scroll down just a few spots and there it is. It's in Paoli, United States, where ever that is. Hope that helps. B.

 Thanks for posting this Brian - that is the helical drive manual! I am going to try to pick that up unless the price gets crazy.

Here is another called the "Repair-Master" #9010 (see link). I got one of these off of Amazon and it arrived yesterday. I am sure it is long out of print. It has a lot of good information as well as some part numbers and also covers the earlier AMP models. Maybe someone here will pick that one up too.

Quick update - new Helical drive service manual found

 I found (hopefully) and have ordered a new copy of the Helical Drive service manual from Repairclinic.com

Their part number is 1243120 (Maytag current number is Y056129) and it is only $7.50. They said it was still available but had to be special ordered - I hope it comes through. I will post back if it actually arrives. It may take a couple of weeks to get.

If this comes through I may not bother buying a copy of the later "-06" service manual on Ebay unless anyone thinks that it is a benefit to have as well.

Update: Probably NLA

 I just got an email letting me know that repairclinic.com can't get the Helical drive manual anymore. I sent an e-mail to Maytag to see if they can. I am not getting my hopes up. At least the one is there on Ebay...
