Too Cute!
Nice ranges if you ask me!
I would love to see one in person now.

I like the stove controls on the side, looks so sleek! What I wouldn't give to find a Wards wringer like the $129 model.

That washer can be found on ebay from time to time, the lid is in chrome and when you have the lint filter to go with it, it's worth even more by my standards.
It's a very nice machine.

Keep your doors locked, because some night that machine might just disappear! LOL

And notice that the wringer could also be ordered with a engine for the Amish/Appalachian folk.

Those prices were dirt cheap for the time. I wonder what that Flair "look alike" stove would go for today if it was new?

Hey Allen, out of all my wringers, the Crosley has the Fastest SPM out of all of them.
I need to change the gasket and trans fluids on all these machine.

Who made them for MW?

Are the wringer machines Norge? The electric ranges look kind of like Westinghouse, but not sure. Who were their appliance suppliers at that time?

these prices are interesting.

If you look at the stove with the upper oven at ~340.00, adjusting per inflation as data.bls.gov/cgi-bin/cpicalc.pl... suggested meant that this was the equivalent today of ~2400.00

That's pretty steep.

Then again, that range will probably last longer than lots of the 2K ones will now.

And I doubt you can get a double oven range with a built in rotisserie for that price anywhere ($2400) too.

Tom, I think Signature's are Norge machines.

I would say that these are Norge machines in disguise. The Burp-A-Lator agitator, and lint filter are dead giveaway's. I love the full skirt design.

Thanks to both of you for posting both the pics and the advert! They look like good machines. Always enjoy seeing stuff about wringer washers.

Signature compact washer

I bought from E-bay the signature compact washer with the plunger type agitator. It arrived today. The first couple of times it blew the circuit breaker. I took it all apart and cleaned it up and oiled it and she runs like a charm. I also have a signature washer I bought a couple of years ago In the picture it looks like the middle one but has a timer. Norge did build those machines, when I cleaned her up it had Borg-Warner stamped on the transmissiom. Mike

I believe the stoves were sourced from Tappan.

I think Norge did mfr. for Wards, both the top load automatics in the imperial forum and the, wringer washers. Somewhere i one of the pages not scanned mentions the famous Borg/Warner transmission. Westinghouse made the F/L washers and i think most of the refrigerators. I am not sure about the stoves. The automatic washer pics are in thread 27862, in the imperial forum. Cleanteamny, you have some very nice machines. alr2903

I've contacted a local CL seller that has a Monkey Wards wringer for sale, wish me luck! She said she has to do some online research to see what it might be worth. I better be prepared to hang on to my wallet, I think the price is going to be sky high.
