Recently purchased a home in Kansas City. With the came a washer and dryer. I searched the model number and assertained it is a 1974 Maytag washer/dryer set. The set looks like it just rolled off the assembly line last week. As far as I can tell everything works. I was just coueious as to what the value of this set might be. I can post or email pics if anyone likes.

What's it worth to you? That's what's important.

I bought a Maytag A107/DE307 about 2 weeks ago for $10.00. After going thru them, and extensive cleaning, I'm selling the set for $150.00. That's the going rate around here.

Price will ultimately be reflected by the models. Higher end models = more $$.

Color: Harvest Gold
Model 806
Dryer: Gas Halo of Heat

The control panels are back-lit by fluorescent lights and the washer may have a lighted tub as well. The dryer should have a 40-watt appliance light bulb behind the lint filter in the back of the drum. The dryer has no timer but is controlled by moisture sensors. I have the electric version of this set in white and I find them to be superior performers. My dryer is electric, but the moisture sensors are dead-on accurate. There is a lint filter in the center of the agitator of the washer. Just pull it straight up and clean it out. Also, your dryer should have a standing pilot light, accessible though the little door on the front of the machine.

Look at the serial numbers. The last 2 characters are a pair of letters. These indicate the month and year of manufacture.

I like my set,
Dave
