You'll be looking for a Halo of Heat dryer. More folks like the electric version than the gas version. The gas version has a standing pilot light.
The gas version of your target dryer is KDG806. The electric version of your target dryer is KDE806. There is a DE806 where I live, and I find the performance to be superb. Good luck, Dave |

Dwight, it's been said a few times around heree, and youu've been a member long enough, that it takes some time for washer or dryer karma to work. But several people believe that the mate to a washer or dryer will eventually show up, but it may take several years. I remember when jamie got taht washer, it was always one of my favorites, even when they were new to the market. And I personall,y, small segment of population, really did like that fake woodgrain front. I just feel it in my bones that Maytag dryer is going to show up. |

LOL! I know, I need to have more patience! Around here the washer is usually the one tossed out first, and the dryer remains.. (or soldiers on) Sometimes for years. |

I was very fortunate to locate an A806S, and DE606 pair for $60 in May 2009. I wsn't really looking for a Maytag pair at the time, but in my area these don't pop up all that often. I've been more than pleased with their performance during the time I've had them. Just have patience, and take Bob's advice about karma. |

I would love to find a coppertone WP imperail mark 12 washer, I have the gas dryer already, I would also consider other colors as may partner can repaint it at his autobody shop. Bob I also always liked the fake wood fronts, but I also liked a lot of the station wagons with the wood panling. It is the only potion that my old 1994 Chrysler Town&Country AWD minivan did not have.
Dwight I always prefer a gas dryer but the MT HOH gas dryers are a little harder to rebuild than there electric counter parts. But it is not only much less expensive to run a gas dryer but much better for the environment to burn gas rather than coal to dry clothes. |

I have an avocado halo of heat Maytag that is not an 806 but would be a pretty close match. Heats good, but it's in Georgia. If you want it, it's yours! Come and get it. Would like to see it go to a good home. Will get out to the storage building later today and get a picture. |

Dwight - I feel your pain! I've had my white 1971 A806 for 2 years now and its still lonely! Been a chore looking for a gas 806 machine to match. I've got a DE606 HOH machine that no one wants, that I can't afford to use, and a almond DG309 with only a single heat setting. Meh. I've kinda given up, and would take just about any good looking well featured gas dryer at this point, so long as its not a standing pilot model. |

Wow. I am impressed with the years of service she got from that dryer. My aunt died in 1992 and her 1970 GE Filter-Flo and matching dryer were still going. Had never had them worked on to my knowledge!!! |

Hi. I was just doing a search for my Maytag dryer and came across Captian Moody's post. I have my kde806 available, however I don't see him as active on the site. Anyone know? |
