That door seal is a right old mess, one of the worst I've seen. Constant low temperature washing and/or poor quality detergent there I think.

I think these were the last to have a proper mechanical timer rather than one of those hybrid jobs, which is why they are reasonably long lasting.

Tom.

I'm gonna need a machine for my new house Austin! I'd be leaving my folks without a machine if I took mine.

According to Which, the Samsung Washer Dryer is let down by its slow drying function.

The best rated ones are Miele, AEG, Zanussi, John Lewis and the BSH Air Condenser models.

indesit?

Post# 519687 , Reply# 19   5/22/2011 at 10:57 (4,722 days old) by solsburian (SE Northumberland)

The Indesit WIDXL 126S scores the same as a AEG best Buy (65%) but it isn't a Best Buy as it seems as though they don't have enough reliability data on them, they do for Hotpoint btw. Undecided

I've noticed that Beko built in Washer Dryer, is it made by a 3rd party?

Looks quite good...

Although it would be interesting as to what Indesit called that colour, and whether there was a matching dishwasher to it. I know it was from this range when Indesit started making machines in silver, I saw this machine on a TV programme years ago, it was in the background.

Could Indesit and Hotpoints merger have stemmed from there? Only Hotpoint had that colour on their machines (Mercury I think) at that time.

Ultimafan that is exactly what happened. This range of indesits was still out when they bought hotpoint. I think it looked funky. I'd have liked the top end model with loadsa buttons in that colour I believe I still have the brochure.
