On the radio 2 news a report says that 25 have gone up in flames and one case killing someone! The national services police etc have told people who own them to report to Beko.

...and it is good to hear that BEKO is working 'closely with the brigade to contact owners'....

I have a CDA752FS frost free fridge freezer- however when I checked on Bekos website it only effects models produced between 2000-2006. My serial # indicates my particular example was made in 2007 so is not on the list :).

Question..

I saw allerts only on Beko website UK..

However from some friends from Serbia (I am not there for past 2 weeks) I heard they are doing something like that too.

But also, its on Beko website, what about other names like Blomberg and Arcelik? are those affected too?

Dex

Now I just want to add my prepositions, since I know how things in factories go (I was in Candy main factory), and I know exactly how story went with the drums (written on othe Deluxe thread), it seems that on Beko, story is similar, but around 60000times more wide.. someone who makes that compressor or no frost thing screwed things up, without Beko even being informed - however not sure about that... just preposition from story that happened with Candy and Indesit drums.
From the other side, on this forum, I read that beko knew for faliure past 11 months, and they done nothing - thats not sure though again, because Media (that is biggest resource) prooven tells too much not true sometimes..

So what do you think? And maybe some other thoughts?

Dex
