A 1955 Frigidaire matching set is for sale. Seller is asking $150 or best offer. The ad says the machines are 1954 but they are 1955 models. A few of the control knobs are broken and is being sold as is. Other than the broken controls, they look in fine shape. Check Craigslist ad with photos and reply to anon-1102400678.
Unfortunately living in San Francisco, I do not have any more room to pick up another Frigidaire after acquiring the 1966 Frigidaire Custom Imperial last year. This is the first time on Craigslist in San Francisco of a Frigidaire unimatic washer for sale. Remembering my mother's 1951 Frigidaire unimatic, they were absolutely wonderful washers. Don't miss this opportunity.

Did a club member buy them?

I sent an e-mail to the guy, havn't heard back. I would like the set if no one else has bought it.

I would love to have a 50's Frigidaire Unimatic.

Martin

Still Wondering

I only e-mailed the guy once. Has anyone else heard anything, or purchased the set. It's rare to see the Frigidaire unimatics here on the West Coast. I think it's because of the lack of basements, things get thrown away faster.

Maybe he'll put it on E-Bay.

2000 miles is just a bit to far for me. Now, if it would have been the 56's I would have probably few out and hitched a ride with a trucker to get them back!
I'm sure that would have went over real well, but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta due to get her damn washer you know!

bethann is right

Prolly someone offered an extra $1000.00 or so (and asked that the other e-mails not be responded to) and arranged Craters and Freighters to pick up the set.

Which is fine.

I hope whoever it is will explain to help us out in the future. Sort of like how to snag items off of E-Bay by bidding at the last minute.

If is is someone from here we know that they won't be able to keep their mouth shut for long.

I hate it when people don't respond

I was thinking of you bethann, when I sent my note; I figured your pal rickr could be the consultant on the pink finish.
Fifty six shmifty-six; what's a year among friends!
