I’ve decided that it was time to depart with the miele’s and get a new set, I did have nothing but trouble and disgraceful customer service with the miele dryer so I’ve decided that it was about time they both went to make way for something new and shiny. After spending hours trailing around Huddersfield looking at various washer and dryer sets nothing intrigued me until the last place we went when I did see the LG washing machine so after a while of debating with my mum (graham didn’t tag along because he just don’t get the whole appliance fetish as he calls it) I asked if the LG had a matching dryer and if they had it in stock, and then the heart kept on saying get an AEG Protex set so inquired about them both the LG’s was both in stock but with the AEG’s I could have the dryer later on that week but have to wait till the end of September for the dryer.. It’s stupid that manufactures can supply one appliance but not the other so after looking over the LG washing machine again decided to part with the money £935.19 for the pair. The set was delivered on the 25/07/2011 with no issues; well I’ve been using them now for the past few days and there well-built and the programming of the machines is fantastic even down to the dispenser flush every time the machine empty’s before the interim spins and the next rinse, the machine sprays the load from the top like a zanussi jet system did through the wash and rinse stages except when the water is heating to the temperature its set to. The machine is silent except for the very quiet rumble when it’s achieving the full spin speed. To be honest am impressed with the machines and how they have performed and how well built they are and to be honest when they arrived I did have a second thought to myself have I done the right thing by getting rid of the miele’s they might not last as long as a miele but one never knows ..
More updates when I get a little more time

Hi tom,
I really do not see what difference in the door switch as long as it functions and the dryer performs as it should do the dryer is fast and economical.

That pairing looks AWESOME! I've been looking at LG machines on and off for a while now. I have a Miele pair at home at the moment and am more than pleased with them but i do like the LG's.

Any niggles that you've found yet or are they all good?

Is that one of the dryers that reverses tumble?

wow!

They sure are beautiful. I wanted them so bad, and ran down to Best Buy the first time I saw them. Was soooo disappointed that the dryer isn't vented. I could have cried. lol
The minute they have a vented dryer for the US, those babies are mine.

I'm so jealous. :)

Hi Malcolm
The dryer does do reverse tumbles,Clothes never seem to be tangled and are dryed even with no fuss.

Hi Laurent

All the lg dryers over here are condensers they don't seem to manufacture vented machines, there fast machines and do seem to kick out dry heat unlike some of the condensers over here seem to kick out hot moist air... I never thought if say this I'm in love with my new LG's xx

...

they're nice, but I do not like LG machines. We had an Intello washer 10 years ago and it would never spin right, it would stick and constantly flash errors for imbalance. We were going to go for the steam washing machine by LG recently but I heard some comments that people were having balancing issues with the latest machines so I kept away from them once again. It was only the LG we had spin issues with, other machines have spent about a minute to distribute whereas the LG took hours!

That being said, I've been a sucker for the LG dryers, they don't look too bad, and I love the design.

Hey

I love the set up you have there :D

As you may or may not know, i've recently got a LG F1479FDS5 washing machine. It's an amazing washing machine, takes a nice large load and is amazing with the 6motion wash system and it's really silent compared to my dyson.

I love the look of the dryer, does it have a light or an led inside?

I want to buy the matching dryer to my washing machine but the ultima is still going well without trouble, which many other owners can not say.

Huddersfield... have a good shop around there & i'm going to uni there soon, might bump into you sometime hehe

All the best with the new set and wish you many happy years of washing & drying :) xxx

Hi ultimafan
I’ve not had any problems up to press with the balancing up to spin and everything I’ve thrown at it from full loads to small loads only with a few items its always finished the cycle on time and with no error codes given.

Hi dyson2drums
I do love the style of your machine I was going to go for the silver but decided against it as all my other white goods are white so I thought they might look out of place, yeah the dryer has a blue LED inside the machine which can be left on during the whole cycle a nice touch I did think and everyone who has seen the dryer has commented on the light inside :-) do you have Facebook? What are you going to study at Huddersfield uni?

Hi Paulc
I must admit I’m not missing the miele’s and the LG’s do provide hours of endless fun, I’m very happy with my choice :-) I’ve had many hours sat in front of the machines just watching them at work, the first night I did say to graham am sleeping downstairs with my new babys lol
