It seems that Servis is to return to the UK in 2012 under the Turkish manufactuer Vestel. They have aquired Servis and Electra plus other brand names from antonio Merloni.

Are Vestel any good? I was under the impression they made very budget end, often own brand machines like Proline and Bush?

Open your minds folks...

...the Russell Hobbs version got 5 stars on the cotton cycle and 4 for synthetics from Which? recently.

They commented that it has 'a noisy spin' and could rinse better, but other than that, it got a great review.

Lets not forget where Beko were a couple of years ago....and what their products are like now.

Did Vestel ever make Bosch machines under license, 'cause those bear some resemblances to earlier Maxx machines in design?

No-I don't think Vestel Made Bosch Machines

Just I think, Vestel have paid Bosch for the drum which looks very similar.
They may have made them however, because I agree the Machine Kick plate & sides & Drum all look like Bosch, or is it Bosch are making Vestels? Or Both companies supplying parts to each other!
The Bosch Avantixx & Clasixx Machines in the UK still have the same kick plate & sides. Just a new drum, which doesn't have holes in the back.

I'd take a Vestel Servis over a Merloni Servis anyday....though if I had my way i'd have a 2011 REAL servis without the frickin takeover!!!

Quartz 2011....*sigh* I can still dream..

Vestel

It will be interesting to see what Vestel decide to do in the UK. will they start with something el cheapo or come in with something more stylish. Given the range and styles of machines they produce they have lots of options. That black Vestel looks very smart indeed. Here's a white one!
