Whilst trawling through second hand stores this weekend down in Bristol, our good friend and sister Richard (richbristoluk) came across this little gem - although an extra dishwasher is what he needs more than a hole in a head at the minute! :-)

Where else to start but with this classic feature...

Bosch SMS6032

Yes, it's a perfect example of an early-90s Bosch dishwasher.  Surprisingly it hasn't yellowed as so many other Bosch machines from this era did.  All it needed was a wipe with hot soapy water and it's perfectly clean.

Interior mugshot

After running a Finish dishwasher cleaner through.  The heater element was slightly scaled up before, but now is all showroom new.  Being an older model it still has the exposed heating elements.

Racks

Being a higher-end model, it has removable tines at the rear of the bottom basket

The end result

And finally what you've all been waiting for; the end result.  An hour and 10 minutes later for a normal wash, and nothing but sparkling Royal Doulton for the Bristolian housewife!

I'll leave Rich to talk further about the dishwasher, but hope you all enjoyed the pics!

Jon

Bosch have always made great dishwashers as far as I'm concerned....and I love those particular models with the long row of piano key cycle selections....

Just FAB!

A gem of a machine, these where the series from the 80`s (yours is the later ones) made for Hotpoint by Bosch, great machines, I have the white version with the two dials not push button, next model down, this is TOL....AND I fully approve with the choice of detergent salt & rinse aid, none of those 10,000 in one tablet do da`s!!!

Hope you boys had a great weekend, looks like

Cheers, Mike

Hello

hotpointfan's profile picture
May I ask if this is the same Rich that had/has the matching washer and the table top dishwasher?
