This set seemed to be one of the staples of the family (both sides); (01). Maternal Aunt had this set in Pink (1963-80) (02). Faternal Grandmother had the Washer in Coppertone (got it used in 1980, lasted one year before giving out) --Charles-- |

And here is the "Variable Speed" Washer and the Lady Kenmore Dryer. But you know my real interest on this page is the Dryer. --Charles-- |

Washer & Dryer.... If I got to have a more modern set, then it would have to be these!! These came out before the Limited Editions. Or better yet, I'll take a Limited Edition Set in Black!!! --Charles-- |

Love all of these wringer machine ads. I have a GE wringer washer. It needs some cosmetic fixing but washes just fine. Gary |

I remember echoes of "Universal" when I was a kid, and here they are. Awesome !
And those big glass doored Wards front loaders with the 4 clocks--WOW!
So many amazing machines that even some of us old fogies haven't seen before. I really like the big fuss all the admen made when the
wringers went semi-automatic with timers. It's so funny: the Westinghouse turns off the "CURRENT" right on the dot.

Love that ad and I remember others with similar draw. Who wouldn't want a house with a washer and dryer in a cozy spot like that, near the sunroom?
