The cardboard box for yours is in better shape than mine. Quite a find. |

I have one of these broilers. Seems to be in good shape. I'll report on whether it works or not. It may be for sale :) |

We were canning chicken stock. We use the roaster to keep the jars hot until we fill them.
However, while using our roaster I did think about the broiler grid accessory. I have run across them in the past. Although I am sure they indeed work as prescribed... but are they REALLY useful? Or was this device developed just to expand the use of the roaster which (although terrific at what it does) actually has limited use? Would someone in 1956 really make use of the grid to make pancakes or broil steaks on a regular basis? Just wonderin’. If I found one again I would buy it and try it. Don’t know how I’d feel. I do use the broiler lid on my Sunbeam electric skillet with good success.
