I have a similar electric model that looks showroom new. This seller is foolish to think this thing is worth $175. This is the model with the glow plate for the gas flame. It keeps the products of combustion from going through the load. The gas heats the plate which heats the drying chamber, sort of like the electric element radiates heat into the drying chamber. The little flue on top vents the hot gases, unlike the way poor Cartman vents his hot gas in this episode of South Park.

I have the same dryer as the one on ebay... A real moose of a dryer... Missing the lint drawer...
