Quiet ???
Good Lord !!! Big Blue Cast Iron Machines were Whisper Jets compared to these. The Hurricane in a Box is hardly a Kitten. Nick, That machine is beautiful. Just watch the corrosion around the Sani Heat Coil where it sets into the wash chamber. I have to do a little "fix up" on my KDS 55 which needs to go back into service. It's had too much time off. |

Larry, Yeah If loaded correctly it could blast some serious food off of a lot of dishes. I remember packing my Grandma's KDS-15 as full as it could get with sparkling results. The noise well not quiet was no louder than any other undercounter Hobart of the time.
Danemodsandy, I have the Paperwork en route from the seller. I will be giving it to our great leader Robert to Scan for Automatic Ephemera. Eddie, I agree quiet was not this machine's strong point. The pump and motor roared like any other Hobart. Intersting you should bring up cast iron machines because on the commercial side the AM-9 I use is no quieter than any AM-14. You are right the Hurricane in a box is no kitten. More like an 800 pound tiger! I'll have to see the extent of the corrosion around the element but looking under her skirt(I'm so naughty) she hasn't leaked. Applianceguy47, You're damn right. This goes beyond fun to full elation! Thanks for the kind words guys. I can't belive my good fortune in finding this old girl. WK78 |

I did a "fix on my Regency about 3-4 years ago. I sanded the sump and used a JB Weld for Potable Water. The Regency never leaked, but was getting close, so a little Bud Nipping was in order.
When I bought the machine and got it home, I lifted off the HydroSweep and took out the filter. What caused those rust spots were some pieces of glass and a Fish Bone.(Like the spine of a trout or something like that) It's like going for buried treasure when you bring home a machine and check the sump. |

I have this dishwasher in the house I just bought. We are the second owners and It's in great shape. However, it's not getting any water. Does anyone know how to get parts? Probably the solenoid valve? |
