Don't do anything to the machine! The 23 series had a 25 year tank rust trhu warranty. Call and get them to inspect it and then insist on not paying anything to get it fixed. They willa ctually replace the machine. That is how I got my tall tub machine. |

I've not seen it myself, but he said the hole was in the sump and it is an actual hole which is leaking water.
As for the warranty, what would he have to prove? He bought it used many years ago, so he isn't the original owner. Additionally, I'd like to get some parts off of it for one of my machines if it is condemned. If it's replaced under warranty, would I still be able to get my hands on a few things, or would Whirlpool require getting the whole machine back? I would hope they'd just give him some sort of voucher to use at a local retailer. Thanks a bunch, Dave |
