Was wandering  through the appliance department today, noticed them moving in a few new fridges.  All high priced, but when compared to similar models I liked the LG design.  Ice and water in the door on the french door models had the ice maker in the door, not blocking a big chunk of the fridges interior.  The top model were going for $3500, way over priced in my opinion.

Also looked at the LG dishwashers, nice but nothing earth shaking.  The salespeople in the dept were not very high on LG products, but I certainly would consider the products if I was in the market.

I do like that some of the brands are moving towards the dual ice maker in their French door machines. It started with Samsung. But I see Whirlpool doing it now too.

Don't know about the US,but in Australia, L.G are considered to be middle range quality, not the best you can buy, not not the worst either.
We have had the top loader for almost 6 years and the top mount fridge just on 4 years and so far they both have performed quite well and I have been happy with them.

I suppose that is pretty accurate in the US as well. Of course having terrible luck with both an LG washer and dryer, I'll never own one of their appliances.
