I had the greatest pleasure of some of the finest members visit this weekend.....just for a mini-meet, some laundry, food, and a lot of laughs.....
I thought it might be easier to do a roll call of members, so as I didn't forget anyone, or names lost in translation.....  It was a blast! Laundry and men goes together well! I wished those who never been to one get the courage to make it to the next one for it is not about the soap but great company and wealth of knowledge! Thanks you Martin for hosting! Pete, Brian, Matt, Lou, Ralph, Bill, Darren, Chris and everyone that was there, thanks you for making my day! I was a little tired from working the night shift before the drive down and it was worth it meeting all of you in the flesh! I hope to make it ti the next one and enjoy the experience again, love you all and I forgot to add the quarter to the magic motion bed to get things humming! LOL | ||

I have to say... that I have been known to drive across town to use a certain laundromat. But, this is the first time that I have driven across state lines, and would do so again! Thanks so much guys for the pictures and the names, really; it's so satisfying to know who people are.
The "Guys on the Bed" is so funny and original. When have we seen this at a Wash-in? Pete, we wringer lovers don't like to say too loud what you observed. But, in full disclosure, the first Automatic Tags did have a gyrator, and washed as well as their older wringing sisters. | ||

Yeah, Peter has a thing for the 1-18's....by far his favorite one....did you know his aunt had a set in poppy red....and she painted the walls of the alcove to match....monochromatic custom.....you don't see that all to often...

Many Thanks to all who attended......and wonderful that everyone had a good time and enjoyed themselves.....I could not have asked for a better event.....time flew too fast.....not quite the BEAR wash-in I had hoped, but we did want to do somthing out of the box....just to shake it up!....
lots of machines and washing, lots of laughs and fun, good food and great people.....it all adds to one fantastic event....simple formulas to make it a blast and hope to do it again someday.....just don't see topping this one, but working on it..... | ||

Yogi, what year is the SQ you got from Malcolm, please? I know by 1976 most were covered in faux woodgrain. It would of been a nice bicentennial machine, I think it is earlier? I really like that one. arthur | ||
