Hello to all let me introduce myself here my name is Brett and I have been lurking around here for a few years and all I can say is what great work all of you have done with your collections. I myself have had a passion for washers and dryers since I can remember always helping mom with the laundry in her Avacado Kenmores from 1970 which where replaced with Maytags (LA408&DE408 which are still in use today) in 1978 when they built a new home and the Kenmores where the wrong color. This sent me on the path of a true Maytag lover I have kept this set and the three other neighbors all still running today (they are all the same sets right done to the color) Truely amazing machines. So after many years of collecting and repairs for others I kept thinking there must be something wrong here with the passion, people have always said I must have invented the machine in a different life, than I found this site oneday and I wasn't alone right down to the fact I was gay. So after years of building homes I made a career change I went to work for an appliance parts distubuter Reliable Parts INC. It is so nice to go to work and love it. So doing inside outside sales for them I come accross many machines that need homes which my customers call and let me know what they have. At this time I need some help I lost my collection this summer when my shop/garage was burned down to a car fire ( A nice SUV under recall for ignition fires) no one was hurt but everything was a total loss. Well everything has gone into the main house garage until I get this rebuilt and have run out of room for the cars
SO this Kenmore is going to be the first to go it needs some help with the outer tub. It works other than the leak a small hole from rust. I hoping you guys can give it a new home. I have a few others I will get posted soon. I would also like to add if you guys are looking for parts or break downs and tech information, age etc please contract me I would love to help I also have alot of access to finding old parts out there. The best place to reach me is through email at Bkeil@relparts.com.
Thanks
Brett

Hello Brett. Glad to see a another appliance fan here in Washington State!(Im in Yakima, about 2 hours from you.)
Im a Kenmore/whirpool/maytag fan of the 60's.
Please let me know when you come across a 67-69 Whirpool Imperial Mark XII set. color isn't important, just in decent shape.

Rich

Hi Brett.
Those pushbutton Kenmores are one of my favorites though I've never seen one in person though but I remember them when they were in the catalogues. I thought Reliable Parts sounded familiar, theres one here in town somewhere, I see the van now and then driving around.
