We had the same in a home . The vent hood had the left button to turn the fan on high/Mediun/low/off. The other button was lights. The vent was great and quite had the filter on both sides. It had dual squirrel cage blowers. Our vent hood same color but the cook top was the crushed stainless. Great cooktop.

This particular setup includes a Sensi-Temp burner. That's what the rotary control on the right is for. Very nice.

Tempted

This is a newer version of the stove and exhaust hood that I learned to cook on. Ours was from 1962 so it had the "Dinner View" knob and window to control the Sensi-Temp burner. Nobody in the house but me bothered to figure out how the Sensi-Temp burner worked so they all considered it a nuisance and avoided it at all costs. I thought it was a wonderful feature and would have lots of uses for it now. In retrospect, I think the designers should have put the Sensi-Temp burner in the back and exchanged places with the conventional 8" burner; even us fans of the Sensi-Temp wouldn't be using it as frequently as the regular burner.
