Here's a nice-looking Maytag for any of you located on the west coast. I'm not sure of the exact age (so could actually be in the wrong forum), but I suspect that they're early 80's vintage. Unusual with the gold-tone consoles and white knobs/buttons. Reasonably priced, too.

That's a decent set for the money. My Maytag dealer friend told me that the gold backed units were sold by discount stores, like a KMart or similar.

This is the exact washer we bought in 1981 to replace our GE filterflo. We bought it at the same time as our Jetclean dishwasher that replaced the KM Roto-Rack. Bought them at the Furniture Mart which sold them right along with all the other Maytags (very dark woodgrain panels w/ivory buttons) They were truly the BOL!

I think these are the A110 and DG110 pair. Maytag's BOL in 1980-83(84)? I have the catalogue for the 10 series, I'll double check.

You're right, Bobby A110 was our model. No bleach dispenser, no fabric softener dispenser, no lint filter even - just a blue cap over the top of the agitator. So very BOL...

Greg - the first time I saw one of those caps I wondered, who in the heck?? ;)
