Hi all, a few weeks ago now I got 2 new machines. One I have been looking for 9 whole years, but when I got it, I was over the moon! It's not quite what I was after.....but at the same time.....it is! It was a machine Nan had (only her's was the Ecologic), and after she died I really wanted one again. The machine is a Hoover Logic 1300 A3790! 1300 spin....high rinses, which brought loads of childhood memories, I can remember sitting in front of it and because it often was on very early in the morning, me being a fuss pot liked grilled toast...and the cooker was directly opposite, so I had to keep shuffling about in order to let Nan access the cooker. It needs a sump hose....I have run it with the worlds best tape job, it runs fine apart from that. sadly the previous owner thought it would be a good idea to paint the rust up...with cream paint...:/ Not a good idea....but it's ok. Also some of the text has come off the drawer front....but is very faint. If anyone has one for sale, or knows where I can get one, please let me know! I'll order the seal when I have some money, soon I hope!

The 2nd machine is a Servis 2305, to match the Servis 3305 Piano key, half door autowasher. The machine needs a fan belt, again, I will order it when I have some money. The machine I swapped with Mikey Clark, as I had the MK262 Quartz dryer, and he had this and the Logic....so it seemed silly to have 2 sets but one half of each in Scotland and the other half in Hampshire! So we swapped dryers, and now Mike has the MK600 Washer and the MK262 washer AND the pre-production set in a few weeks too! I'll be seeing him again soon, so I can't wait to see them running!

Mike also gave me a Servis Supa-Spin 202 which is featherweight and is so tiny! And quiet!

I'll attach a pic of the Logic, the Servis set and the 202, more pics in a day or so. I can't wait to have the Logic up and running! I tell you, 9 years is a flipping long time!

Thanks for taking tome to read and view, please comment!

Chris.

2nd pic, the Servis 3305, Servis 2305 and Servis 202 in the shed. I think they look great together, and at first I thought I'd never get another set! (WM12 and TL21 - still going strong after nearly 3 years!!)

Pic attached!

Thanks

Chris.

Nice Hoover Logic

We had 2 of these back in the early 90's a cream 1 and a grey 1 both worked really well and were matched with a grey Hoover logic dryer and an old Zanussi with having 3 children a sunday football team and 2 mental health clients to wash for every week they all worked very hard as well. We stupidly had cheap rate electricity at night and so as many loads as possible were done during economy 7. I should have had a twin tub though to be fair I would not have found the time to do it then am very glad I do not have that amount of laundry now as energy prices are ridiculous.. Sorry for the epistle but seeing those lovely machines brought memories flooding back.

Austin

Dream machines fulfilled are true reasons to celebrate! Looks good from over here and she could not have found a happier and more loving home. I always thought it neat to see what is considered a vintage machine in different parts of the world.

Remember that every time an AW member finds a dream machine, an Angel get a NLA part for one of their machines!

@Chanceskydiver

Thank you so much for them, I really I hope I win you the blank machine. I owe you so much for this!

@Ozzie908

Cool, I don't mind that, I like to hear about peoples memories and experience with machines!

@RedCarpetDrew

I was over the moon.....it was great to feel that old, yet beautiful thumb-wheel again....and the ticking at the start of the cycle. Truly great moments!

Anyway, the machine is great, I love the Logic spin.....it does 800 RPM (I think) and then slows down a tad, so you can hear it, and then goes on and into the peak spin at 1300! It's great, and I love how the washing all sticks to the drum! And the ticking at the start!

Only issue is the heating light sticks on the whole cycle, any ideas (it doesn't heat when the temp is reached tho).

More info and pics later!

Chris.

Also, thank you Phil for taking the fascia off the 2305 and sticking the plastic panel in again! Thanks!

Hi Chris, well done on getting your dream machines, always good to find what you want, and thanks to Mikey for all his help as well, you`re lucky in that you have found them many years before we did, so plenty of time to enjoy them - and find more!!

The 3305 set looks great, never seen a matching set of those, and the Servis spinner just adds to the classic look, and will do a grand job of spinning out the water when you come to use the dryers!!
