Did a repair on a friend's HE3.  Sorry, no pictures.  She claims it's 10 years old but I didn't note the models and serials to confirm the dates.

Anyway, she advised that something is wrong with it.  Didn't get much info at first, prompted her to check what's the error code.  She advised F02 (long drain).  They have a literal zoo of critters ... currently 13 dogs, numerous cats, 33-years-old Bad Bird, peacocks and turkeys in the yard.  I figured the pump trap is clogged with dog hair from their blankets.

Set it to drain, rewarded with just a slight hum from the pump, so maybe it's jammed with debris.  They have the set on pedestals which helped immensely for getting a bucket under the sump to drain the water.  Amazingly, investigation found NO HAIR in the trap.  A couple coins, small bit of wire, clothespin spring, peel-off seal from a container of breath mints, couple other items.  Pulled off the pump motor, found it bad, the impeller flopping/loose same as was on the Duet I refurbed last year.

I had kept the first damaged/cracked pump (sealed with marine epoxy) from the Duet pump fiasco (the seller didn't want it back), so slapped that on as a temporary fix.  There's a tiny bead seeps from the epoxy so didn't want to leave it as a permanent repair.

Ordered a Samsung DC31-00054A pump which fits perfectly and even has the same harness socket.  Found it on sale for $38 at one of the online sources.

The machine is in kinda bad cosmetic condition.  I didn't closely check the drum and boot for mold but there was no evidence of mold in the pump trap (the refurbed Duet was awful).

I did "rock" the drum to check the bearings, which seemingly are good even at the machine's age and presumably somewhat heavy usage.

Chlorine bleach *is* used often, as are hot washes.
