I had a chance to check out the new Speed Queen front loaders today at their showroom,...pretty nice machines. The tubs looked about the size of current frigemore fl's.They did not have a lot of products on the floor.Only two topload models that look like Amana toploaders.
No porcelain tops like the speed queen commercial washers,....not too thrilled about that, but the warranties look good. Hope these "commercial" washers and dryers are a reliable product.

The showroom also had sub-zero fridges and Wolf ranges,..VERY NICE,along with some eurotech washers and dishwashers.

I would like to see the New SQ machines-but the nearest dealer to me is in Atlanta Ga according to the dealer locater on their website. Will check the local appliance place later-let SQ gain more of a foothold.Would be nice if they let the local independent appliance stores carry their products. If they were displayed alongside the Sub Zero Fridges and Wolf ranges at your store-theres hope.Hope the SQ products work out.

Hi Tolivac

I went to the speed queen distributor, Goldman Associates. The rep there told me there was a dealer not too far from where i live.I told him i have been to the place he was talking about,....and this place is a family business that sells many high end appliances.I hope speed queen sticks with small independent dealers.

Agiflow-action:
The independent dealers here are Greenville Appliance and Creeches appliance.Hope the SQ machines appear at one of those.Greeenville appliance carries the "hi end" brands such as Garland,Viking,Fischer Paykel.Haven't been to Creeches in a long while-they are about 10 mi from me.They are in a neighboring town,Ayden NC.I just don't want to see SQ appear at Best Buy,Lowes or Home Depot-then you can be sure they will be bitten by the "cheapening" bug.

Pat,

Did you give any input to Goldman's about the SQ's? If so where they receptive? Did they mention how sales were going?

Glad you took the plunge and went up to take a peek. Now you just have to purchase a SQ washer and dryer so we can all come over for a "wash in"! *LOL*

Hi Launderess

Unfortunately i did not get a chance to talk to the representative too much,....i was way too busy checking build quality and cycles and all that other fun washer stuff. LOL.
There is a place not too far from where i am that is selling these machines.I will hopefully go see them this weekend.
I would like to suggest that Speed Queen use porcelain coated tops and lids on their topload machines, other than that they seem well made. Only time will tell.
