They might have been screwed down too tightly or not in exact alignment. I would ask SQ about it. |

Alignment. I noticed my Speed Queen dryer panel side caps are not aligned properly. hmmmmmm |

This can happen with the best of appliances and manufacturers, looks like its a stess point thats just given out with pressure.
Its vital and important that this information is fed back and reported to the manufacturers asap by everyone (under warranty or not) so they have the information and can work to develop a fix etc..... |
