After stripping a gear in the gearbox, and being out of action for over 6 months, I'm pleased to say that my Empress is now back in Action, It was basically an archeological search for parts, which resulted in 2 scrap machines being purchased for gearbox parts, and also the search for new bearings and oil seals.
Well after many months, it has paid off.
All in all Very Pleased.

Hi Kev glad you got your Empress back up and running great stuff is your Empress late fifties i seem to remember reading a thread about your machine. Would be great if you could take some photos of the back of the machine showing the gearbox moter and pump set up .you may have seen a thread started by me called Early Hotpoint Empress i wanted to show how the machines do differ mine is circa 1955-1556. Hope you have kept many useful parts from the two machines for the future , Regards Andywash
