i tried calling the owner/seller and there was no answer. the phone just rang & rang. not even an answering machine to leave a voice mail. i even sent a text message to the phone number and i got an automated text reply saying that the text message was sent 3 times with no response on the receiving side.
so, i am guessing this maytag washer craigslist ad is "BS". cuz it says in the ad, "call or text", but there's no answer. and the text message doesn't even go through. what??? but thanks for posting this ad!!! we never know if the next ad is "the one"!!! just wanted to let anybody & everybody, that might be interested in this maytag washer, that i didn't have any luck contacting the seller/owner. ;o) |

I'd say 30% of major appliance listings in CL are "no call, no show" listers... people that you can never get a hold of no matter how many times you call. And I mean I am calling with in 12 hrs. of the ad going up, not stale 45 day ads.
Don't get your heart set and just move down the list and call the next. |

It sounds more like a timer replacement. |

i appreciate the words of encouragement.
i thought, "hmmmm, maybe i can take a trip to california, as this is close to the area where i grew up & lived around. the number checked out for hawthorne, california (if i remember correctly?). or i thought, since my dad is driving up within the next week, maybe i could talk him into picking this washer up for me. but i couldn't make contact. and that's cool too. like i recently said, i am really starting to love my 2-speed, standard capacity, A208 for all that it can do. but if a 2-speed, large capacity, A606, A608, or A806 (preferrably) comes along, and is in reaching distance, than who am i to push it away??!!?? of course i will try for it!! but because i am so happy with my A208, it doesn't "hurt" as much, if a large capacity, center dial, maytag, doesn't pan out for me. so, it's cool. just as long as i know i tried.... hm hm hm..... :o) |
