I don't think I have ever seen a Spiralator in a perforated tub machine. Could I get some help with this? Thank you.

Tom, I think the set in the POD is from the early 70s when, here in Canada, McClary-Easy was 'allied' with the GSW company.  They also made Beatty and GSW appliances in those days (and once upon a time made the Dominion line of appliances - ask me how I know that... LOL).  They seemed to use aspects of US machines in their designs, winding up with 'hybrid' versions of other brands - that Dominion washer of mine is actually based on an Easy design.  I would hazard a guess that when these machines were on the market, the McClary folks were emulating what their competitors (Inglis/Kenmore, GE, Maytag) were doing and built a perforated tub machine.

I actually owned a McClary washer-dryer set that were mid-80s models, but by then, McClary was 'owned' by Camco (the Canadian company that built GE, Hotpoint and other brands) so the machine was a perf-tub with a GE style straight-vane activator.

Thank you, Paul, for explaining. I knew that Easy was a solid tub machine so it was puzzling to see the Spiralator in a perforated tub.

Did Easy not continue through the 70's in the USA, or did they just keep the solid tub through that time?

Gary

The last Easy washers I saw must have been in the mid 60s and they were solid tub machines. They were not actually Easy, but Easy-made AMC washers and dryers. The design was getting old which, I guess, is why Easy could make them cheap to sell them cheap. The Easy-made WH top loaders for that first year were solid tub machines, yes?
