Is this really from the 1940's? Did they even make those then? Wouldn't this machine be about 60 years old now? Geesh | ||

That unit is not from the 1940's, the give away is the plastic tub. Also the plastic knobs as well. My unit is almost the same, but has the SS tub and going by the owner's manual it is from about the late 1950's to early/mid 1960's. Least this seller has the decency to open with a resonable asking price. Oh and the top is not original as well, near as one can see. L. | ||

Do not think it would be possible as one would have to find a way to provide power to the separate drain pump/motor. It would also require rewiring the lid control on the spinner side as well. Mind you an enterprising person probably could turn their hands to the project and have it working a treat. Thing about the Hoover TT pumps which makes them "special" is they have three "ports". One takes water from the spinner, another from the wash tub and the other drains out to the sink. L. | ||
