I just posted four wonderful new things to the Ephemera Library,
The first and my favorite of the day is this gorgeous 1960 Whirlpool Laundry Appliances Brochure. It has stunning illustrations and information on the entire 1960 line of Whirlpool Automatic Washers, Dryers and Combination Washer-Dryers Next is something I've had for a while. It's the 1944 Westinghouse Home Laundering Guide. The best part about this is it contains the earliest sales literature for the Westinghouse Laundromat that I have ever found. It shows off the pre-war Laundromat just like Jeff L. in Maryland found recently. -- No longer will you need to put aside one day each week, to tire yourself out doing a whopping big wash. Come "V Day" ... the hard work of clothes washing will be done for you ... automatically ... in the new Westinghouse Laundromat. The Laundromat is that revolutionary new Westinghouse contribution to better living. It reduces clothes washing to three simple steps-"put 'em in-set the dials-take 'em out" . For the Laundromat is automatic.-it fills itself with water, washes, rinses, spins the clothes amazingly dry and shuts itself off. Third is the service manual to all 1959 General Electric Filter-Flo Washers. Finally I posted the owners manual to all 1950 Hotpoint Electric Ranges. Enjoy everyone! |
