I have always wanted a matching kitchen in a great color. I don't have these yet but I soon will. & I happen to have a cadet blue fridge. I'm pretty excited. I'm going to see them Monday.

Soooooo beautiful!

Those are awesome and look like they are in mint condition. Congratulations on this great find. I've never seen that color before. Very unique. Hey, are you getting that range hood? Because if you are not I would be interested in it. I live in Dundee, Michigan so at least it's in the same state. Let me know if you want it or if it's still available.

Congrats again. You are going to have one incredible kitchen. You need to post pictures when it's all together.

Matt, I hope you're able to get these.  Cadet blue is extremely rare!!  And double ovens too!!  They do look low mileage and well cared for.

I will see about the hood, no problem. Yah I'm pretty excited, they look mint and the guy says they work. I'm paying some $ for these and it is going to be a (huge) project, but it's worth it.

Curious...

What is that bricked in area to the left of the double ovens? It looks like it also has a vent hood. I wonder if that is on of those "indoor BBQs" that you see in the vintage high end house ads. I collect old cookbooks and the Betty Crockers and Better Homes and Gardens cookbooks from the 50s and 60s have some kitchen pics with those. That would be really cool. All around that looks like an incredible kitchen. Love those cabinets, too.

frustration

I think this guy wanted me mostly to appraise them. I offered him $250 plus a range or cooktop and wall oven (Jenn Air, nice stuff) He was still wishy washy. So I'm kinda frustrated. I know you can't always get this stuff for cheap, and I thought my offer was fair. Are they worth more? What do you guys think they are worth? I don't have a $1000, even if they are worth it.

That's always the painful part about such opportunities; you don't know when if ever a matching set like this will show up, and if it does, they may be so far away you can't get them.

If he thinks he can sell them for more, he might be disappointed. Rare doesn't always mean valuable.

Matt,

I think you're offer was more than generous. I'd wait him out a couple weeks and see if he's changed his mind- it's also worth pointing out that a craigslister wouldn't be offering replacement units either. Persistence can pay off... -C

He was just using me for an appraisal, just wish he had been up front. As a consolation prize I have the cadet blue fridge in my kitchen. Yeah! I will post a picture soon.
