OR we could do yet another Turquoisedude's Totally Unscientific Laundry Test to find out for sure!
I just happen to have three vintage Canadian machines that were available for testing today - a load of shirts (permanent press) into the '53 Westy, a load of mixed cotton goods for the '63 Frigidaire, and a small load of socks to run through the '66 Inglis.
The soil level for the loads was light for the Westy, medium for the Frigidaire, and heavy for the Inglis. The Frigidaire got the most clothes, but I've finally learned that it can handle them... LOL

The Westinghouse, notoriously prone to suds-lock, seemed to be doing great.

But how did we do with a 'real' agitator like in the Inglis?? Just fine, I'd say. Also check the discharge water into the laundry tub where suds-reuse water is drained. Nary a trace of foam! | ||

And the results? I'd say just fine on all three tests.
The first load is from the Westinghouse tangle-matic. I often notice that there is residue on some darker items or fabrics like these fake-suede shirts even after the standard double-rinse in that machine. Note there is not a trace on these shirts. I'm impressed!
The second load from the Frigidaire was somewhat tangled, too, but the overall result was great. Those sad-looking jeans were quite dirty from my ongoing struggle with the Blackstone restoration, but they sure look clean now.
Now, the socks in the Inglis got an extra treatment - I used the 'Super Wash' cycle that has a pre-wash, a 2 minute soak, a partial drain, then a refill to move on to a full 14-minute wash cycle. Oh, and I did use bleach as these dirty socks needed it. After all that, they came out nice an clean.
Sigh.... maybe I do have too much time on my hands after 2 years 'retirement'.... LOL
Hopefully the next test will be with a Blackstone.... | ||

 So I have the last unopened box among the two first boxes of Roaslies Zero Suds in Canada! I might want to save it as a historic value! After all, it's named after a Canadian!
