This machine is a 1968 model, and is most likely a Kenmore 100 series. My 1967 near clone is a 100, and the only difference I can find is the color of the control panel, and the gray speckle of the basket.
After getting my machine a few years ago, I looked for and found an owner's manual which covered several other models from the same period. As it turns out, the entry 24-inch machine, the one with the single cycle timer on the front of the cabinet, is a 000 series machine. The 100 was these, with three cycles, no water level adjustment, and three temps. The 200 added two speeds and three levels. As 1967s, all three had blue tubs. The 300 was typically a Lady Kenmore esque machine fairly heavily loaded with features. From there the 400 was a 29-inch entry level machine, The 500 had three cycles, one level, three temps...just like these. I don't know if this '68 has one or two speeds, but if it is a two speed, that might suggest why the '67 and '68 were available simultaneously into 1969. I think Combo John has one of these models from 1968 in his collection. Gordon |

The space saver models are always cool with the retro 1962 esque consoles, and the wash action is a little more dramatic with the smaller tub. Nice find. |
