Feed the number into Sears PartsDirect and see what you can find. I was able to get parts for our '63 back in 2007, but that was then and items may have depleted. I was able to get the poly belt for the blower when the old one broke, turning the unit into the first Kenmore condensing dryer. :-)
The trick with PartsDirect is that it may SAY parts are available, but when you go to order them, your order sits...and sits. Then, weeks later, you find out that it's NLA. It looks like some of the most useful items may still be available for this model--the link below should take you to the page with the parts breakdowns by section. I think there has been one other '63 on here with the revised door handle. We've already seen 1963 models built during 1965, so it may well be that they made it into 1966 also.
The revised door handle went into production sometime in late 1965. This being an '807, it was the final model of the run. To have 8 versions, 800 to 807, that is a very long production run. I hope you like the machine when you inspect it and that you can get it!! Good luck! Gordon |
