Maytag dryers don't have rollers in front, the drum is supposed to glide on felt or teflon pads. If the pads get worn then it will be noisy. Sounds like that's the problem with yours. Try removing the front panel and inspecting the glide pads. Replacements should be readily available from a local applaince store. |

Whe I re-did my Halo-of-Heat, I found that the "Felt" in the front needed to be replaced. I belive that is just like Greg said, and kennygf suggested you check the bearing in the blower housing. These machines also have a lot of wiring. Be careful with the all of them, mark them and take your time. I find that taking real close up pictures of things comes back to help on re-assembly if you do not have a service manual. Steve |

The motor belt is too loose. I am not sure if it is a bad belt as it is new or the tension spring. I will keep you posted. Thanks for the help! jimmyb |

Seems as though taking the blower fan off and cleaning it as well as the post it sits on did it. Thanks for all of your input and help !! |

I have a maytag A107 and A607 and the chrome has deteriorated in lumps and bubbles around the trim of the panels. What is the best way to restore, if you can reveal the beauty secrets? Is there chome paint? |
