Hey folks!

My partner, our dogs and myself headed to a cottage in Wales for his 30th Birthday and some R&R for me!

Upon arrival i discovered this little gem!

A candy aquamatic compact 3.5kg 1000rpm spin washing machine!

Firstly it's so cute!

I decided to use the fact that the property is on a septic tank to buy ecover liquid and softener.

I wasn't bowled over with them, they're ok but I'll stick to standard detergents.

Now the machine! I used the cotton programme and the 44 & 32 minute quick washes. All of which I filmed snippets of which you'll see on my new tube page I've linked.

The fast was programmes rinse up the door and cottons in the seal. The tumbles are a nice medium speed.

The big surprise is that it spins anti-clockwise which is unheard of for candys. I have it on good authority from Dejan (nrones) that this is because the machine is smaller and to avoid water being thrown out of the drawer on spins! It's a little fussy on balancing, does a few bursts then creeps up to speed.

While it isn't as smart as my Siemens Idos it was certainly fun to use. If one ever came up locally I'd add it to the collection.

Darren

Can't get over how cute it looks in its spot lol Ive always loved 'mini' versions of big machines.

Hope you had a good holiday and got some good rest :-D
