Tnanks, bwoods, I read the link . There are some divided views on everything. I'd say this is just a cool piece of history and for a daily driver, it wouldn't work for us. But I love the look, how the racks open on top and how it was another step to better dishwashers. (and I/we do pre-rinse, but then the new dishwasher here n this "compartment" is not so great). Thanks again.
