One of my friends has one of these newer white/gray Weather Wheel air conditioners in his condo that was built around 2006. In this new millennium, I would expect builders to install split units instead of sleeves (which is less than ideal for our cold winters). That's what most builders do but I guess a few contractors still prefer going old fashion, and unlike me (who mostly enjoys the looks, noises and feel of vintage A/C units!) their only motivation to do it is to save some $$! And in this particular case, the bad thing is that it looks like they saved on a few other things too! |
