Both!

I'd take either of these.  That yellow one is really sweet - and rare, but the avocado one is beautiful and has been well taken care of.  And since they're 30" models, they fit almost any modern kitchen.

Would the avocado model have the pull up shield to protect the oven window during the self-cleaning cycle?

Window Shield

I don't believe this one would have the shield.  The shield was used in the early years of the P7 models, I am not certain for exactly how long, but this model is a post-1977 model as indicated by the non-shaded avocado color.  By that time GE had either determined that the shield was not necessary or had modified the glass to better withstand the heat of the cleaning cycle.

The window shield was still in use in 1980 models

My mother got a GE 30 Inch Stove in Harvest Wheat in 1980 and it had the P7 oven and we had to raise the shield in the door before we could clean the oven…and this was the TOL model with the touchpad digital clock and timer…..PAT COFFEY
