I have at least 30 old washers and maybe 10 dryers. Most are Frigidaire 1-18 machines. I have a couple of solid tub reversing motor Speed Queen washers, 2 solid tub Frigidaire washers, a '57 Frigidaire TOL set and several center dial Maytag washers. I also have a whole lot of parts for washers and dryers. I have enough parts to rebuild at least 10+ Frigidaire 1-18 sets, maybe more. I have the new seals and bearings for them along with drum rollers and such for the dryers. I have a lot of extra backsplash panels with timers for many of them too. I would very much like to find someone who would like to have all of them together and would come and get them in a big truck. I am NOT wanting to sell each individual machine. It is a package deal. What you do with them after you get them is up to you. I just know that I will never have time to work on all of them again and need to get rid of them. I hate to see them all go to the crusher. I am selling the building and land where they are stored. Please let me know if anyone is interested. My personal email address is: brucelucenta@att.net

Isn't anyone going to chime in here..?

Even though I just lost my entire collection, I'm in the process of purchasing another home (with a 10' x 20' workshop to hold my new finds) but cannot coordinate something like this right now. I'm willing to go in $$$ to help and buy a few machines if someone can save all of this!

I would have commented earlier, but posts like this one tend to leave me speechless. Given a little time every one of these machines would likely find a new home, but the all or nothing stance of the seller virtually guarantees that won't happen. The inflexibility is a death sentence for all of them unless some rare individual with lots of disposable income and lots of storage space comes forward. I'm pretty sure a number of folks here could scrape up enough money to rescue one or two for themselves, but who has the resources to take them all? I sincerely hope Bruce will change his mind. They may not all be saved but at least some of them would. The loss of the spare parts alone will be a shame.

Unless Bruce is hoping to cash out with the appliances, he needs to throw the doors open and proclaim "Come and get 'em! Take what you want!"

It sounds like he just needs to sell the property and needs the appliances gone, but would like to know that the appliances go to other collectors.

I'm equally skeptical that an all or nothing stance is going to be effective here, unfortunately.

Pictures would be helpful, too. :o)

to help rebuild or provide spares for some of the non-op or working 1-18s those of us have out here.

Someone wants them all!!!

Thank goodness someone surfaced who wants them ALL!!! So they are going to be gone soon. Oh, the reason I did not just announce to come get what you want is because I did not want to end up with most of them and have someone pick the cream of the crop. There is a Frigidaire 1-18 rapid advance elite set too, that I did not list on here too. The guy who is coming to get them will get ALL of them and will get the '57 set thrown in too…all for no cost to him except the expense of coming to get them. Have a nice day!

Bruce,

That is a nice gesture of good will toward members of this forum. Cheers to you and try to have a Happy Christmas and New Year.

It sounds like somebody's getting a whole garage full at once! It's not me my garage is already full.

and it would be nice

if he/she would make 1-18 parts available to AW.o'ers if they don't need or want them all. It might save a few more of these cool machines.
