Washer included, but seller claims it's only good for scrap:
" Circa 1970. Washer probably needs a new hose or something - Water leaking when turned on. It has settings I've never seen like 'Save Suds' or 'Drain Suds'. We were just told they do not make parts for the washer anymore, so it is only good for scrap. Dryer is gas and works perfectly. Medium/small capacity." Not TOL - and you Maytag experts would have some ideas on repair strategies. CLICK HERE TO GO TO ovrphil's LINK on Grandrapids Craigslist

The first set where the seller claims it leaks is ,more then not,a leaky jet spray nozzle. The rubber sock and plastic cone. Up in the left rear top ,the front cabinet needs removal and the two lid bolts taken off to get access to the problem. When I was at the Altamonte Springs,FL. Direct Maytag store, I had so many customers come in to replace a ten to fifteen year old leaky Maytag and sold them the kit $7 and they always came back not only to thank me for the information but for saving them money. My boss hated it untill "Shak" , who's mother bought a 1970 Maytag and still had it,came asking for me. One of his neighbors was an earlier customer whom I sold an LA7800 to and a new dishwasher. Shak bought JennAir for his kitchen and Maytag fir his Moms from me to build into their houses being built at that time. After that, Tony never at all questioned what I did. That store was great. I had Circuit City,Sears, Home Depot,Lowes,Montgomery Ward, Best Buy, Gayfers, and a few locals to compete with too . My reputation and store location were pristine. I4, SR436, and SR434 all together in a five mile radious. On an average week, I d pull in $70 to $80 thousand in new product sales but the rest, from $10 to $20 thousand was almost all profit because that came in from the rebuilt, used sets I rebuilt and sold. Being there all alone was perfect for me. Even though Tony had a real bad temper, I always knew what buttons to push to calm him down. He liked the floor, plan I used, the floor models I chose, the clean, rebuilt used sets and the way I called previous customers to be sure they needed something to buy or my luke warm , almost ready customers to close.
