What a neat find!

Seller began auction at $500 and it is already up to over $700.

This really is a NOS unit as it is still strapped to the pallet and castors are not attached.

According to my Maytag service literature the wringer head was strapped into the shipping crate and attached upon delivery, but that is small beer.

Were it an electrical motor *might* be interested. But am not paying almost one grand plus hundreds in shipping just to swap out that gas motor.

The thing does come with an exhaust hose so you could just stick it out of a window..... *LOL*

Don't worry guys, nothing doing. Too many buildings have gone *KaBoom* in NYC recently, and am not one to tempt fate.

Figure this Maytag must be a late built model-it has a B&S motor instead of the orig Maytag gas motor. That B&S motor is used on a lot of outdoor power equipment-Kee Rotary mowers,Reel mowers, small tillers. If you lived in an apartment storage of gas and oil for the engine would be a problem-bet the landlord and fire codes would not allow it.So you need to "repower" that machine with an electric motor. You would have to add oil to that motor-usually B&S motors are shipped WITHOUT oil in them.

Am not going after this unit; least of all not now that bidding is well north of one grand...

What the?

For anyone following this one bidder apparently got cold feet. Highest bid of over one grand was retracted bringing things back down to the seven hundred dollar range.

Sure as eggs is eggs probably was someone not local to seller who investigated shipping...
