OMG. That was my grandmother's exact model (although hers was white) , I've looked at all the promo videos and such that showed the line of fridges for this year, but could never find this exact one. I think this was a pretty basic model. We got it in mid-to-late 1964 when she moved into an apartment. It was good we had the Norge chest freezer in the laundry room. It served a family of 5 from then until 1969 or 1970 when get got a Gibson SxS with the ice maker that was similar to what Whirlpool came out with years later with its flex tray. |

I bought this refrigerator at a local estate sale last month...in white. Unique compact size but lots of character. Cleaned up great inside and out. Needed a new relay, which I found and put in easily. Compressor is amazingly quiet. Manual defrost - just what I wanted.
Webmaster Robert came over with his automatic appliance mover and the old one was out and the new one was in easily. Plus, he let me operate it. Pink one seems to be missing all of the door shelves. Nice overall but as someone previously mentioned - not $500 nice. I paid $60. |
