Does anyone else have an issue with rattling coming from the solenoid where it connects with the trip shaft on a Unimatic?

Is the solenoid on there tight? Usually, it is a loose fan that can make some noise.

The solenoid itself is tight.. the inner piece that gets drawed down when energized is loose and rattles during agitation. If I put my finger on it, it runs as quiet as a mouse.

It sounds like you are describing the Trip Spring.
Perhaps it is "sprung" ?
I have never had a problem like that and so I don't know what I can tell you.
